The second in our PLC programming course collection is designed for those who want to take PLC programming to the next level. Tasks include upload and download programs, develop PLC ladder programs, and use common program instructions.

Application

This course is designed for those who have completed the PLC Programming Taster course or have a basic understanding of PLCs and want to know more about how a PLC works. The course includes PLC inputs and outputs, PLC hardware and wiring, file upload and download, and writing PLC ladder programs from a specification. PLC instructions used include input, output, latch, timer, and counter. Each project uses a process description to develop a PLC ladder program solution. This is the same method used in industry to write PLC programs to a customer specification. Assessments are based upon the relevant performance and skills requirements described in the UEE Electrotechnology training package. Completion of this course will prepare you for the next course in the series PLC Programming Software.
